Bet you didn’t know we are a Muslim majority nation
With just 28 days left before President-elect Donald Trump assumes office, Barack Obama obsessively flexes his muscle with yet another administrative action — bypassing congress. This latest maneuver is intended to put a stranglehold on Trump’s no-nonsense, prioritized plan to expand a post-9/11 registration system of refugee males from predominantly Muslim nations.
Opponents of what Donald Trump refers to as “extreme vetting” of men arriving from high risk areas claim it unfairly targets Muslims. What it actually does is strive to protect America and our own citizens. Remember that part of the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution that includes these words, “insure domestic tranquility ….promote the general welfare’? They were not thrown in as an afterthought by our nation’s Framers. They were included because they actually expressed what those noble men wanted to convey.
Barack Obama has a much different view of the world than most Americans. This 2009 Sean Hannity segment includes Obama being interviewed on French television and declaring America a Muslim majority nation. That might be his wishful thinking, but it is far from the truth.
The Heritage Foundation skillfully assesses the threats to U.S. vital interests in this 2016 Index of U.S. Military Strength. The recent barbaric murderous attack on a Christmas marketplace in Berlin illuminates the need for all Western counties to put a vigilant identification system in place. France has also suffered for its too generous open door policy, as has England and other Western European countries.
The problem does not lie in implementing security to combat terrorism. It occurs when we allow ourselves to be cowed by baseless charges of insensitivity and discriminatory policies. This is the result.
