I received a text message from 'UNKNOWN' whilst I was out shopping this morning, it read: Log onto the web at the earliest opportunity, also please take note of the new link I have provided.

It was of course from Keb439 and I returned home earlier than I had planned, as I wanted to get the latest update.

After logging on and typing the new link into the TOR browser, I was redirected to a site that had a similar page to the last one we had used to converse. So I typed 'good morning' into the chat box and waited. Unlike our last contact, around 20 minutes passed before I received a reply.

This is the synopsis of our brief conversation:

Thank you for waiting for my reply, sorry for the delay but I was in the process of finishing something important, which could not be put on hold.

Anyway, I messaged you today because I needed to update you on something.

Ok, but have you got time to answer any questions first?

I can probably answer one if it is brief, as my time is very limited.

Well it may be a little contentious, as it concerns God and Religion. Also If you have time, can you just give me an outline of how important decisions are made and by whom in your timeline?

You are certainly spot on with that assumption, the first issue has the potential to be very contentious in this timeline and I alluded to this when we first met. I also have to be very careful when divulging information on this subject, because of the potential risk it could pose to this timeline.

Firstly, all intelligent species from advanced civilizations that are capable of social interaction, that we have had direct contact with throughout the universe, have their own spiritual and ritualistic ceremonies.

The actual origins of our universe and how it came into existence, are still unknown - regardless of the theories that are constantly put forward and often touted as fact. You could argue that only God would have the time and resources to create such a vast universe, but no one to our knowledge has traveled beyond it's boundary; as it spans billions of light years and is ever expanding. Some scholars have suggested that the universe is nearly 14 billion years old, but again there is no hard evidence to quantify this. So if you are seeking a definitive answer I will have to disappoint you, as it cannot be given.

If a Grand Architect or God exists then they have yet to show themselves, but hopefully this will change one day and you may get the answers to the questions you are seeking. Until then, as intelligent beings we should keep an open mind.

I would add that in our timeline people are free to practice whatever faith they wish, as long as it does not encroach into any of the laws I spoke about previously. If however, it is discovered that a person or group of people have used it as a tool to coerce others into committing crimes, especially those that directly effect fellow humans, then those individuals will be centered with immediate effect. This is one of the subjects that we actively set out to address early on in our history, because it was clear that if left unchecked and unchallenged, this one issue had the potential to cause the near extinction of the human race. Although I really must stop there, as I am now venturing into dangerous territory.

With regards to the second part of your question. Any issues that are considered by the council to be domestic in nature and potentially contentious - i.e. changes in working conditions etc, have to be put to a vote in the form of a compulsory referendum. The people can instantly place their preference using all available media sources. The result is determined when the final balance reaches 51% or greater, either for or against. This is considered the fairest way to implement any changes to the domestic agenda and the result is final and legally binding. All other issues outside of this are dealt with directly by the ruling council.

That's ok, but I really must now update you on something important.

Sure, although that sounds ominous, what is it?

For reasons I cannot divulge, I have been forced by events to bring my main mission forward by some considerable time. This as you may remember requires me to covertly supply the final piece of the jigsaw, that helps facilitate the successful discovery and testing of the time travel technology; which is presently under the control of The European Organization for Nuclear Research.

What I did not disclose at the time, was that I also have to make sure that once the technology has been utilized long enough to complete the transfers, it must then be instantly deactivated and permanently put out of action, never to be used again in this timeline.

At present I am preparing for my immediate transit to Geneva, so that I am in position and ready to make my move, when the time is right. Unfortunately, when this early intervention takes place it will cause a catastrophic time slip, which will not end favorably for me and I'm afraid to say that I will not make it through. Although this may seem a hard pill to swallow, for me the personal sacrifice is worth making, if it enables the 'chosen ones' to transfer over to our timeline before the access portal disintegrates and the process becomes untenable.

It has been great talking with you and I appreciate what you have done to help, but looking at some of the comments, I'm afraid it may have been in vain. But do not worry as your efforts will be rewarded. So please remember to follow the advice that I previously gave to you and sit tight until you are contacted. I cannot say any more at this juncture, but I wish you well and good luck.

So that was it, a brief interaction and then the devastating news. I am siting here contemplating just how brave Keb439 must be to be willing to sacrifice his own life, in the pursuit of saving others. That certainly takes a very strong character, along with an unmitigated belief that saving his kind from extinction is a sacrifice worth making.

As for my own situation, I am still a little confused about what is going to happen and left wondering exactly when the 'end game' scenario will take place. Anyway, I am going to follow his advice and as soon as it looks like things are moving in a negative direction, I will ready myself and just maybe I will be contacted as he suggested, and who knows, I might just end up in Keb439's timeline with others who's reflection, mirrors my own.
