In old times, people were exchanging goods, today we barter with paper money issued by the government. Whether people realize it or not, the bartering system is still alive and well. We do it every single day, when we go to the grocery store, the gas station, and when we pay the rent.
In a SHTF-type of scenario, paper money is completely and utterly useless. If you think that having a pig pile of supply will save you, think twice! You’ll still need to be able to barter with other survivors to get the supplies you and to survive.
Here’s what you need to know when it comes to bartering with other survivors in a SHTF situation. Keep in mind that your life may depend on your ability to barter and acquire food and other supplies, so take these to heart.
Do I Really Need to Know How to Barter?
In case you aren’t familiar with the barter system, it’s pretty easy to understand. It can be defined simply as the exchange of goods or services between two people. For example, if you needed your car repaired, you would go to a mechanic who would require some form of payment in exchange for his services to fix up your automobile.
Most people today feel safe and sound in the current government issued currency situation, and don’t believe that anything is going to happen to upset things. However, all one needs to do is look at what happened in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. People were stuck without any access to funds or outside help, so they were strictly on their own for survival.
For a barter economy to take over, we have to assume a major disaster; something that is serious enough that people aren’t confident in the government’s ability to back the value of the dollar.
Most disasters, such as natural disasters, martial law or civil war, won’t create a situation where a barter economy is needed. People will still use cash for their transactions, as long as they have cash to use. They will only resort to barter when they are out of cash.
That paints us a pretty ugly picture, one in which much of what we depend on to survive is lost. But that’s the ideal situation for those of us who are prepared and who have taken the time to learn the necessary skills to survive. We can take care of the opportunity to trade our skills for what others may have that we can use.
So, what sorts of skills will be useful for bartering in that time?
General survival skills – If power is down, something as simple as starting a fire or purifying water will be a valuable skill as many won’t know how to do those things.
Medical skills – Medical skills of all kinds will be in high demand, as normal medical services will be overrun. Sickness and accidents will increase, making these skills highly valuable.
Midwifery – Midwives will take over from medical doctors for most childbirths. The difficulty of getting to a doctor will make this necessary.
Gardening – Yes, something as simple as gardening will be valuable, as there won’t be enough food. Your vegetable garden will become very valuable. Being able to help your neighbors start their own gardens, which would mean having seeds for them to use as well, could be the key skill to build a neighborhood survival team, with you as the leader.
Animal husbandry – For the very same reason that gardening will be valuable, being able to raise livestock to feed yourself will become valuable.
Any sort of repair skills – With the loss of electricity or a market, products will become unavailable. People will need to keep what they have, getting it repaired if it breaks. This includes anything from repairing small appliances to vehicles and heavy machinery.
Small engine repair – Most mechanics are somewhat baffled when faced by small engines. But there will be a greater need to repair power tools, than cars.
Mechanics – When the economy is in trouble, people don’t replace their cars. They have them repaired and keep using them longer.
Building trades – While there won’t be as much demand for this as some of the other skills I’m mentioning, rebuilding society will require the ability to build new buildings or more likely, rebuild existing buildings to accomplish new purposes.
Blacksmithing – In olden times, the blacksmith was the local hardware store, tool manufacturer and general repair man. As people adjust to the new lifestyle, we will see a need for those skills resurface.
Practical engineering – From communications to pumping water, a host of infrastructure will need to be created, for those who survive. If the current communications network is destroyed by an EMP, some sort of communications will be needed for local governance and defense.
Clergy – Many people will have a struggle with adjusting to their new lifestyle. Clergy and other counselors will be needed for those who can’t make the transition on their own. Clergy will also be needed for the functions of baptisms, weddings and funerals.
Military – With any sort of breakdown of society, there is an increase in lawlessness. Some will gather together, forming gangs to prey on others and steal the necessities of life. If you can’t defend yourself or your neighborhood can’t defend itself, then you’ll become victims.
Determining the actual value of your skills will be challenging. It’s challenging enough trying to figure out the value of goods and services in normal times; in those decidedly abnormal times, it will be much harder to calculate.
Basically, we’re talking about the law of supply and demand here. If there’s a lot of clean water available, then purifying water isn’t going to be all that valuable. But if the city water supply is known to be contaminated, that same water will go up extensively.
Which Items Are Absolutely Essential?
The type of items you need to make it through a SHTF situation can be broken down into two groups. The first group is made up of items you absolutely must have in order to live. The second group is creature comforts.
Two things you must have in order to survive are food and water. These two are your number one priority. Since you need these items to live, that means others do too. If you have livestock and crops, these can be as good as gold in a bartering situation. By trading food and water you can almost guarantee you will get whatever you need from someone looking to trade. Make sure that you have a way to replenish your supply before you begin to trade these items, otherwise you will be in big trouble.
Another important group of items you will need is camping and hunting gear. Hunting will be one of your main sources of getting high protein food to eat and sustain your strength. Any item that can be used to survive away from urban areas will be great for trading with other people. Be sure to visit local hunting and outdoors shops and stock up on supplies when they are putting items on sale. This will make sure that when things go south, you will have “currency” to trade with those who don’t have the means of hunting or finding suitable lodging.
Creature comforts make the second group of items both to barter with and for are comfort items. These are items that aren’t necessary to sustain life, but they do make things more comfortable, and a little less dark.
Hygienic supplies like soap, toothpaste, and toilet paper are some of the best supplies to trade with. Staying clean is incredibly important to your health and safety. In a SHTF situation, a cut or scrape that gets infected could lead to death. Stock up on soap and toothpaste and you will have commodities that everyone needs, making you “wealthy” in this type of world.
Another comfort item that is good for barter is alcohol. People love their booze, even in a world that’s fallen completely apart. You will be surprised at the great lengths individuals will go to in order to get a cup of moonshine.
The value of everything will shift during that time period. Today, we value gold, silver and jewels. Those may retain value, but they won’t be very easy to barter. That’s because they won’t be useful for survival. The only people who would be interested in trading for gold and silver will be people who have enough excess that they don’t need to have in order to survive.
1. Be selective
While you might be thinking that a silver teapot isn’t worth as much as a ham, you have to realize that you’re thinking from the viewpoint of someone living in normal times, where food is plentiful. But that teapot won’t help you survive, while the ham will. When there is a serious food shortage, you might be willing to make that trade too.
2. Be fair
Try to be fair as much as possible. I know that some people would say to take advantage of the situation and get as much as possible. But that doesn’t mean you should. The problem with that is that you may just succeed in making an enemy. The best deals are those where both parties walk away from it feeling as if they won. A win-win is an especially big win for you.
3. Control your emotions
If you are bartering with someone, it’s like playing a game of poker. You don’t want to give away too much information in your body language or facial expressions. Keep a straight face! Do not let the other person see that you are in desperate need of the items they have. If someone sees that you need something badly, the price of the exchange will go up.
4. Don’t make yourself a target
Always ask the individual you are bartering with what type of items they are looking for. You do not want to show off your entire inventory to someone you don’t know. Start with the items that are of lesser value and work your way up to the valuable ones. Showing off the best you have first could cause you to be harmed by someone who is desperate for that item.
5. Don’t trade with weapons at first
Avoid trading with weapons at first. While items like guns and ammunition can be extremely valuable in survival situations, they can also be deadly. Trading with someone you don’t know well could lead to someone taking the weapon and using it on you. At that point they will also have access to your entire inventory, leaving you with nothing.
6. Make sure your deal is worked out
Always make sure that your “deal” is worked out before you start working. That way, there won’t be any surprises later. Granted, they could still refuse to pay, but at least they won’t be able to claim that it’s because they didn’t think it would be that much. Often, if people aren’t planning on paying, they will act disinterested in the negotiating process and look for an opportunity to take advantage; don’t allow them that.
7. Bring a friend
Speaking of taking advantage; it’s never safe to make a deal alone. You should always have someone there to protect you, preferably behind the people you are talking to. That way, if things turn sour, you have someone positioned to take them out, before they can take you out.
While no one wants to have a situation like this occur, the reality is that we never know what is going to happen day to day. It is better to learn these skills and be prepared, so that if that day comes, you aren’t the desperate one roaming around for the basics of life.
Stay well supplied and stocked with the materials mentioned above, and you will be well ahead of the curve when the SHTF. Remember to keep things simple, as our ancestors did. In fact, barter is one of the skills that we have to re-learn from them!

Insiders have come forth revealing that a meeting is planned by the IMF scheduled late afternoon on Friday September 30 to make an announcement. Financial analyst James Rickards speculates the meeting will discussion the failing economic conditions.
Other financial experts like Peter Schiff has been warning for years that the economy is shaky and headed for a bigger fall globally that would make the 2008-2009 housing crash in America look like a small tremor.
Others, such as Ellen Brown and James Corbett, have revealed hints of bankers hedging themselves when they demanded a bank regulation known as the "Bail Ins" that forced all banks to comply. That keeps their losses at a minimum by declaring deposits as their supply in times of trouble to keep them solvent.
The market is weak enough that Germany warned people to get out of the market. And some of the wealthy, such as Warren Buffet, even dropped back from the market.
The IMF plan to announce a new World Currency. Elitists have been threatening a "currency reset" to get everyone on a digital system. A blueprint titled “Enhancing International Financial Security” hints to the possibility of this in coded terms. That may be a platform to initiate discussion on conditioning the market to be ready for this new currency. Obama met with Federal Reserve Chair Yellon recently calling for an emergency meeting, with the G20 also meeting thereafter.
Of course we know this is planned and controlled, only waiting for the right timing to pull the plug and allow the chaos to occur. The Elite orchestrate conditions to manipulate markets and drive people towards their agenda of the New World Order. The monetary system is based on fiat anyway, a promise backed by nothing basically as supply is declared and digitally produced. A system that has been active since the beginning of time, and modernized by the Knights Templar.

Major Earthquakes May Be Triggered By The Moon Say Japanese Researchers
A new study has argued that major earthquakes, such as those that devastated Indonesian in 2004, Chile in 2010 and Japan in 2011, are more likely to occur during full and new moons – the two occasions during each month when tidal stresses are highest. Researchers found “that there is strong correlation between tidal stress fluctuation and earthquake occurrence in several regions close to the epicenter of the Tohoku earthquake”
The study, published in the journal ‘Nature Geoscience’ and conducted by a team from the University of Tokyo, argues that the same gravitational influence that the moon has on the oceans may also trigger earthquakes along Earth’s most fragile fault lines. Astronomy is the scientific study of everything in outer space. Astronomers and other scientists know that stars many light years away have no effect on the ordinary activities of humans on Earth.
Astrology is something else. It’s not science. No one has shown that astrology can be used to predict the future or describe what people are like based on their birth dates.
Ophiuchus has sometimes been used in sidereal astrology as a thirteenth sign in addition to the twelve signs of the tropical Zodiac, because the eponymous constellation Ophiuchus (Greek: "Serpent-bearer") as defined by the 1930 IAU constellation boundaries is situated behind the sun from November 30 to December 18
The constellation is described in the astrological poem of Marcus Manilius: the Astronomica, which is dated to around 10 AD. The poem describes how: Ophiuchus holds apart the serpent which with its mighty spirals and twisted body encircles his own, so that he may untie its knots and back that winds in loops. But, bending its supple neck, the serpent looks back and returns: and the other's hands slide over the loosened coils. The struggle will last forever, since they wage it on level terms with equal powers"

Later in his poem, Manilius describes the astrological influence of Ophiuchus, when the constellation is in its rising phase, as one which offers affinity with snakes and protection from poisons, saying "he renders the forms of snakes innocuous to those born under him. They will receive snakes into the folds of their flowing robes, and will exchange kisses with these poisonous monsters and suffer no harm".
A later 4th century astrologer, known as Anonymous of 379, associated "the bright star of Ophiuchus", Ras Alhague (α Ophiuchi), with doctors, healers or physicians which may have been because of the association between poisons and medicines

Imagine a straight line drawn from Earth though the sun and out into space way beyond our solar system where the stars are. Then, picture Earth following its orbit around the sun. This imaginary line would rotate, pointing to different stars throughout one complete trip around the sun – or, one year. All the stars that lie close to the imaginary flat disk swept out by this imaginary line are said to be in the zodiac.
The constellations in the zodiac are simply the constellations that this imaginary straight line points to in its year-long journey.
What are Constellations?
A constellation is group of stars like a dot-to-dot puzzle. If you join the dots—stars, that is—and use lots of imagination, the picture would look like an object, animal, or person. For example, Orion is a group of stars that the Greeks thought looked like a giant hunter with a sword attached to his belt. Other than making a pattern in Earth’s sky, these stars may not be related at all.
Even the closest star is almost unimaginably far away. Because they are so far away, the shapes and positions of the constellations in Earth’s sky change very, very slowly. During one human lifetime, they change hardly at all.
A Long History of Looking to the Stars
The Babylonians lived over 3,000 years ago. They divided the zodiac into 12 equal parts – like cutting a pizza into 12 equal slices. They picked 12 constellations in the zodiac, one for each of the 12 “slices.” So, as Earth orbits the sun, the sun would appear to pass through each of the 12 parts of the zodiac. Since the Babylonians already had a 12-month calendar (based on the phases of the moon), each month got a slice of the zodiac all to itself.
But even according to the Babylonians’ own ancient stories, there were 13 constellations in the zodiac. So they picked one, Ophiuchus, to leave out. Even then, some of the chosen 12 didn’t fit neatly into their assigned slice of the pie and crossed over into the next one.
When the Babylonians first invented the 12 signs of zodiac, a birthday between about July 23 and August 22 meant being born under the constellation Leo. Now, 3,000 years later, the sky has shifted because Earth’s axis (North Pole) doesn’t point in quite the same direction.
The constellations are different sizes and shapes, so the sun spends different lengths of time lined up with each one. The line from Earth through the sun points to Virgo for 45 days, but it points to Scorpius for only 7 days. To make a tidy match with their 12-month calendar, the Babylonians ignored the fact that the sun actually moves through 13 constellations, not 12. Then they assigned each of those 12 constellations equal amounts of time.
So, NASA didn’t change any zodiac signs…they just did the math.

When you come to realize that all of this is being 100% fulfilled, you will come to realize that there is a real and all powerful GOD who knew the end from the beginning and who warned us in advance of all of these things. He is real and His real Hebrew Name is Jesus. Not Yeshua or Yahshua, which are actually Assyrian words that appear on the forehead of the Assyrian beast in Rev.13:1. You will need to denounce the false names and you will absolutely need to be baptized by full immersion in water only in "Jesus Name". You will need to stop observing Christmas and Easter which are both ancient Assyrian holidays which Assad will enforce.
If you do your research, you will see what I am saying about the Assyrian origin of Christmas and Easter is true. You will also need to stop observing Halloween. You will need to start observing the 7th Day of the week known as "Saturday", from sunrise to sunrise. Not from sunset to sunset. You will need to also observe the annual Festivals (Holidays) listed in the Holy Bible in Lev.23. Your "fire offerings" and "sacrifices" are now your prayers, not animal sacrifices. Circumcision is not required.
I understand that much of what I have shared in both prophecy and doctrine sounds very wrong and strange, because Satan has deceived the whole world, Rev.12:9. But when every prophecy on this list is fulfilled, you will not have any need for doubt of the included doctrines as well. Jesus does not want anyone to accept religions and denominations. Why Are So Many Asking If Trump Is Sabotaging His Campaign?
For a long time, I have been saying that I am voting for the movement associated with Donald Trump, I am not voting, necessarily, for the man himself. This reason was in full display during the debates.
Hillary Clinton, with her sociopathic criminality and debilitating health condition, should not have the presence and support to be elected to the position of dog catcher, much less the President of the United States.
There she was at the debate, standing there like roadkill and Donald Trump had the chance to finish her off and he did not. Why didn’t Trump go for the kill? Is Trump sandbagging his candidacy? Some are even asking if he isn’t a plant for Clinton and is deliberately throwing the election. I don’t think it’s the case, or more accurately, I hope it is not the case.

Conspiracy theory website InfoWars drove speculation into overdrive after it posted a story about the “box with wire” underneath Clinton’s clothing.One of the website’s writers then put forward his own wild speculation that the Clinton might have a medical instrument that “sends impulses to the brain to alleviate symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.”
When you’re in the sticks, you absolutely, positively must maintain some semblance of self-reliance out there — no matter how long your backwoods stay happens to be. Simply put, the duration of your trek or tramping may not necessarily last for a week, but you’ve got to be prepared for the possibility that it might.
At the same time, you might very well be planning on staying out there for more than a week, but nothing will dampen your camp like a massive rip in the roof of your tent. These things happen, but that’s why we plan for such events in advance … because Murphy’s Law tends to kick in when it’s least convenient.
But then, there’s superglue.
Strong Enough for a Battlefield
Superglue — or Loctite or Krazy Glue — reigns from a very sturdy and handy class of adhesives. However, whereas an adhesive like Gorilla Glue (which is still quite handy in a pinch) may take a fairly long time to bond, superglue does the job within seconds … at least fast enough to accidentally bond your fingers together, so keep that in mind. So basically, superglue is perfect for bonding and healing those whittling mishaps that cause our fireside project to turn that familiar red hue. It may not necessarily be a substitute for stitching a bleeder on the leg, but it will do the job for a mundane dripper on the knuckle.

And last, I will leave you with the coolest reason why superglue is a pack item essential

Yes, that is correct. You can actually start a fire by dripping a whole bunch of superglue on a cotton ball, due to a thermochemical reaction that takes place. So, if you’re out of matches, you don’t have your firesteel on hand, and you left your Zippo in the truck, you’re STILL not going to freeze to death tonight. When you’re done treating your minor cut, you can fix the tent before the rain starts falling, and then start a campfire — using nothing but superglue and a cotton ball.

The demise of child beauty star, JonBenét Ramsey, who was discovered brutally murdered in her family home in 1996 continues to be one of America’s greatest unsolved murder mysteries. Nevertheless, a YouTuber who goes by identity Dave Johnson affirms that the notorious murder was a hoax.
The video that once had gone viral goes on to generate more interest subsequent CBS’s true crime docuseries “The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey.” Recently Lifetime as well introduced a TV movie “Who killed JonBenét?” and possibly the solution lies in the new YouTube video.

Another YouTube videographer VK 33 takes into consideration Johnson’s proclamations and further describes a line from Perry’s memoir as the only evidence we need to find that she’s truly Ramsey. The quote in the book, describes Perry writing songs at an early age, states: “Not that I was one of those stage kids. There was no JonBenét Ramsey inside of me waiting to burst out.”

Two sisters from Minnesota were found dead inside their luxury resort villa a week into their vacation in the Seychelles.
Annie Korkki, 37, and Robin Korkki, 42, were discovered in their villa at the Maia Luxury Resort and Spa last Thursday around noon, authorities in the Seychelles said.
The sisters, who had been on vacation on the tropical island off the coast of Africa since September 15, were found unresponsive and were later pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.
A preliminary examination conducted by police indicated there were no signs of violence or aggression on the women's bodies, The Seychelles Nation reported.

The women had been drinking alcohol throughout the day on Wednesday and were helped to their room by resort staff around 8.15pm that night, authorities said.
It was the last time they were seen before they were found dead on Thursday morning, according to police.
Now, their heartbroken family is searching for answers into what led to their sudden deaths.
Authorities in Seychelles were called to the scene after a personal butler assigned to the villa arrived at 8.45am on Thursday to find the sliding door locked as he had left it the night before.
After there was still no movement in the room as the day continued, the butler raised his concerns with a supervisor and management who reported it to police, authorities said.

The sisters were found unresponsive on the same bed and there was no disturbance in the room, police said.
While their bodies did not show any signs of trauma, certain medications were confiscated from the room by police as part of their investigation, authorities said.
The Korkki sisters' stay at the resort was originally set to end on September 22, but they had extended it to September 24.
Both sisters had shared photos of their stay in Seychelles on Facebook, with many showing the resort, where an ocean panoramic villa costs upwards of $1,800 per night.
In one photo on September 17 appearing to show the beautiful view from their villa, Annie wrote in the comment section calling it 'the best place ever'.

Annie, who lived in Denver, worked at JP Morgan Chase, according to her Facebook page.
Her sister Robin lived in Chicago and is the Head of FX and Metals at Allston Trading. Both are described as healthy women and experienced travelers.
'The family is in shock,' Chris told KMSP of his sisters' deaths.
'Everyone is trying to understand and come to terms with what happened.'
Their mother Sue and brother Mike, who both live in Colorado, are currently in Seychelles, pressing local and US officials for answers, The Star-Tribune reported.

They are also making arrangements to bring the women back to the US, their Chris, who lives in Minnesota, told the newspaper.
He also noted that at this time, his family has limited information on what led to his sisters' deaths.
'At this point, the only details we know are the articles flying around online,' he told The Start-Tribune.
'My mom has been talking with people from the U.S. Embassy. I don't think they've provided her with any information.'
A Giveforward page has been started to help the family with expenses of returning the sisters to the US.
A note on the page written by Kim Haller, who organized the fundraising account, describes the women as 'loving sisters and best friends.'
The page had raised more than $14,600 as of Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement to KMSP, Haller called the sisters one of a kind.

'They were fun, compassionate and the life of every party… they loved to be adventurous and would travel to places we would only dream of,' Haller said.
'These girls were one of a kind.’
The sisters' bodies are in a mortuary as authorities await autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
Local police have been working with the American embassy in Mauritius during their investigation, according to The Seychelles Nation.
The Seychelles is located more than 900 miles off Africa’s east coast and is a tourist destination with its beaches, natural reserves, warm weather and coral reefs.
The Maia Luxury Resort and Spa is a twelve-acre property on the secluded Anse Louis located on the island of Mahe.
The five-star hotel's 30 suites, ten ocean-front villas and 20 panoramic villas, each offers guests private pools, a 24-hour personal butler and views of the Indian Ocean, according to its website.
